We were fortunate to catch the attention of Brendan Parker from Global News early in our venture. When Brendan agreed to document our story, we solicited friends and family to assist. We taped half of the interview at the OLD Fluid Power facility in Calgary, AB. OLD Fluid Power played a part in developing one of our prototypes. We also taped the demonstration of the trainer at the Don Hartman North East Sportsplex. We manged to get children from various Minor Hockey Associations in Calgary. Young skaters from McKnight, Mavericks, Airdrie Minor Hockey, Cochrane Minor Hockey, and Simons Valley. We also had members of the Airdrie Figure Skating Club. It was exciting to get all the representation to become celebrities in their own right!!
We were very pleased with the exposure of the story. Gaining thousands of shares on social media and airing on extra days and cities. Far beyond our expectations. We also learned the benefit we were suggesting to many parents that struggled with activities for their children with autism. Thank you everyone. Especially the creativity of Brendan!
